Ucsd Film Festival 2025

Welcome to the 2025 UCSD Film Festival, sponsored by Sony and George's Camera! Join us on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at Price Center Theater to celebrate UCSD's creative community. In addition to our four screenings and awards ceremony, we are thrilled to host Film Festivals 101: Insight from Industry Experts, a panel and Q+A organized by the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts and Alumni Relations at UC San Diego on Day 1 (more information provided below). George's Camera will also be parterning with Sony to bring us professional camera demos on Day 2, and they will be joined by tabling from on and off campus filmmaking resources! Everyone is welcome to all events, they are not exclusive to filmmakers with a film in the festival. April 26th 1:00-3:00 pm: Documentary Screening: Showcase of documentary short films by UCSD students. Red carpet for filmmakers. 3:30-5:00 pm: Film Festivals 101: Panel & Q+A with judges and filmmakers, organized by the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts and Alumni Relations at UC San Diego. 5:30-8:00 pm: Narrative Screening: Showcase of narrative short films by UCSD students. Red carpet for filmmakers. April 27th 1:00-3:00 pm: Experimental Screening: Showcase of experimental short films by UCSD students. Red carpet for filmmakers. 3:30-4:30 pm: Animation Screening: Showcase of animated short films by UCSD students. Red carpet for filmmakers. 4:45-6:15 pm: Sony Camera Demos: Demos of Sony cameras brought to us by George's Camera, tabling from on and off campus filmmaking resources, and more! No ticket required! Everyone is welcome, not exclusive to filmmakers with a film in the festival. 6:30-7:30 pm: Awards Ceremony: Awards ceremony and red carpet for winning filmmakers. More Info below.
