Witness: Poetry, Music, And Talk With Amy Manion

Event Creator and Boston area singer-songwriter/spoken word artist Amy Manion will be performing and screening a film excerpt of her spoken word collaboration with Spitting Fire for Freedom. Area youth performing music and spoken word, possible guest performers, and an interview and hosting by teens with Q&A will all be featured in this event. There may be an arts and crafts table around the theme of the event: What does it mean to be your own witness? What does it mean to witness someone else? The act of sharing one's art and self and being an audience member is a co-creative act that transcends either performer or listener. Come and be a witness. Updates not included at the below registration link: Content warning: some topics such as racial and sexual violence trauma are mentioned in some poems. May not be suitable for younger audiences. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Twelve registration spots left. Registrants will leave with a bakery item from local Mei Sum Bakery so register while you can!
