MIT Symphony OrchestraAdam Boyles, Director MIT Concert ChoirMIT Chamber ChorusRyan Turner, Director Meredith Hansen, soprano Edward Vogel, baritone In an exciting collaboration, the MIT Concert Choir, Chamber Chorus, and Symphony Orchestra combine to present the Symphony no. 1, ‘A Sea Symphony’, of the great English composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams. Using the poetry of Walt Whitman, the symphony is a majestic and passionate paean to the vastness of the sea in ways literal and symbolic. Sophie Lin (marimba) will perform the Senjourne's Concerto for Marimba and Strings on the first half of this program. More Info below.
