PLUS be ready to pose & show your new look, or the one you arrived in, at our Under the Dome Step & Repeat. 6:30-7:15pm QARI A Hip-Hop artist native to Chicago, known for his free-form, introspective lyricismm Qari describes himself as an observer first, and an artist second. With subject matter ranging from spiritual curiosity to lewd sarcasm, Qari weaves interpretive motifs through melody and creative impression. He’s captivated audiences at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash, SXSW, A3C, and North Coast Festival— and basically, every venue in Chicago. He’s opened for Post Malone, Wu-Tang Clan, and even a holographic Chief Keef (yes, really). Once a member of the hip hop trio Hurt Everybody, Qari’s music has afforded him collabs with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Mick Jenkins, Saba, and Twista. 7:30-8:30pm ELTON AURA Elton Aura is a genre-bending artist blending funk, jazz, hip-hop, and soulful psychedelia into a world entirely his own. Rooted in rich storytelling and immersive soundscapes, his music exists somewhere between the nostalgia of classic soul and the unpredictability of the future. Whether rapping, singing in falsetto, or orchestrating live instrumentation, Elton crafts experiences that are as thought-provoking as they are infectious. Elton has 2 Nationwide tours under his belt opening for Chicago artist Noname and Chicago based Lala Lala, Elton brought his dynamic performances to audiences far and wide Chicago Fair Trade - Conscious Closet Club The largest and most active grassroots fair trade non-profit in the United States, CFT works towards economic and environmental justice in trade through consumer education, advocacy, and promotion of local fair trade businesses. Past successful campaigns led by CFT have enabled the city of Chicago to become a Fair Trade Town in 2011, and both the city and Cook County to pass anti-sweatshop ordinances in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Since 2007, CFT has held the largest World Fair Trade Day celebration in the US, and since 2014, has run an annual fair trade Holiday Pop-Up Shop selling fair trade products from our local business members. CFT's network of local fair trade businesses has blossomed from just three in 2006 to over 60 today. Most recently, in June 2024, CFT opened the world's first Fair Trade Museum in Uptown.
