Life Into Art: Tatlin In Movement

Join us for a special event in celebration of our current Tatlin: Kyiv exhibition in which we will explore Tatlin’s work outside of the bounds of the gallery. Our guest speaker is Justine Ludwig, Executive Director of Creative Time, an organization that commissions and presents ambitious public art projects throughout New York City. Ms. Ludwig will lead a gallery talk through our current exhibition and delve into the topics of how Tatlin’s works were intended to be used and activated, comparisons to contemporary multihyphenates, and visual culture as an instigator of political and social experimentation. Admission to this event is free but registration on Eventbrite with the link provided is required as space is limited. Donations to The Ukrainian Museum made at the door will be appreciated. Meet Our Guest Speaker: Justine Ludwig is a curator and writer who currently serves as the Executive Director of Creative Time, New York's vanguard public art organization. She previously held curatorial positions with the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati and Dallas Contemporary. Ms. Ludwig has curated projects with many artists, including Shilpa Gupta, Nadia Kaabi-Linke, Pedro Reyes, Laercio Redondo, Paola Pivi, and Pia Camil. Her research interests include the intersections of aesthetics and violence, economics, and globalization. More Info below.
