Performances will take place at Noon and 4 pm in the Old Bakery & Emporium Courtyard. At Austin Drum Beats, we believe in the power of rhythm to heal and transform. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming space where people can express themselves, let go of stress, and heal emotional wounds through the collective energy of the drum. We are committed to fostering a community that values connections, inclusivity, and personal growth. Whether you're seeking emotional catharsis, creative flow, or simply a space to connect with others, Austin Dream Beats is here to support your journey. Our drum circles combine a unique blend of education, facilitation, collaboration, and community to introduce people to the form, and draw them in to participate. Education creates curiosity, facilitation gives people a safe container and permission to participate. Collaboration creates shared purpose and achievement, and through the experience community forms organically. More information about The Old Bakery & Emporium: The Old Bakery & Artisan Emporium is a historic landmark located in downtown Austin. Local artists and craftspeople keep our artisan shop full of unique, handmade items. Our Art Gallery features the work of local artists who are 50+ years old. We provide Visitor Center information and have a history exhibit that explores Austin's immigrant history through the Lundberg-Maerki Historical Collection. Our mural "Generational Ties" completed in 2024, visually represents the site’s rich culture and history. The muralist, Ruben Esquivel, is a local Austin-born artist of Latino and Indigenous descent, who was voted Austin Chronicle’s Best Muralist 2024. The mural explores the Indigenous heritage of Austin and the Swedish legacy of the Old Bakery and Emporium. [hidden]
