Opening reception of Storyburstat Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture Gallery310 W Master St Philadelphia, PA 19122 Join us for the opening reception of Storyburst, an exhibition showcasing artwork made by students from John Moffet School and Samuel Powel School. Over the past months, students at both schools participated in visual storytelling through a multitude of mixed-media projects. They drew visual inspiration from such artists as Iasmin Omar Atta and Diana Al-Hadid, and narrative inspiration from a variety of Arabic folktales. With spirited hand puppets, deftly-drawn comics, miniature sculptures of brave heroes, and much more, this exhibition displays an abundance of student storytelling!  Refreshment will be served! Student performance will take place from 5 - 5:30 PM. More Info below.
