Galentines: Shine & Let Shine

It’s our favorite time of year! Come celebrate GALentine’s with your favorite gals. This event is all about celebrating the power of female friendship while also connecting empowered women and community members (aka YOU) to opportunities to advocate for Houston girls. We do this through partnering with the incredible non-profit Girls Empowerment Network (GEN). During our event we will be going through a workshop on friendship straight out of the curriculum GEN teaches youth in their programs. We will also have light bites, drinks, raffle prizes, and mini volunteer opportunities to give back to the girls. If you are new to our organization, this is the perfect event to get to know us! Girls Empowerment Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission of igniting the power in girls by teaching them the skills to thrive and believe in their ability to be unstoppable. This mission comes to life in their programs through a curriculum designed to increase each girl's self-efficacy (their belief in their ability to succeed). Girl Advocacy League (GAL) is a giving circle welcome to all community members who want to support this mission, connect with fellow girl advocates, and feel empowered themselves.
