Her acclaimed book Democracy and Dictatorship in Europe explores the history of political systems across the continent. Hans Kundnani is a Open Society Ideas Workshop Fellow and Lecturer at Boston University and a leading expert on European politics and Germany's role in the EU. He is the author of The Paradox of German Power. Christina Morina is a historian specializing in modern European history and political ideologies. Currently a visiting professor at The New School, she is also a professor at Bielefeld University. She is the author of Tausend Aufbrüche. Die Deutschen und ihre Demokratie seit den 1980er Jahren.
