Learning Centers

Stop by the Penn & Fountain Learning Centers any time during open hours to learn about the water and land ecology at the park! NOTE: Registration is NOT required for this event. This posting is for informational purposes. However, if you'd like to receive email updates about this event, we encourage you to register. The Penn Learning Center (marked as “Education Center” on the map) is located on the Oystercatcher trail, accessible from the Penn parking lot (1750 Pennsylvania Ave/1750 Granville Payne Ave). It’s about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot. The Fountain Learning Center (marked as “Education Center” on the map) ) is located on the Fountain Ring Drive trail, accessible from the Fountain parking lot (950 Fountain Ave). It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the parking lot. Dress for the weather, and bring plenty a water bottle! There are water refill stations near the port-a-potties on both sides of the park. We recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes as park trails are a combination of paved and gravel surfaces. More Info below.
