Dave and Caitlin here, collectively known as SugarBomb. We would like to open our home and welcome the new year with loved ones at a cozy evening of live music with special guests JennyRebecca & Andrew Ronning, joining us all the way from Berlin on their North American tour. You may discover that this pair is just as much of a SugarBomb as we are! (If not more -- what?!) Space is limited, please reserve your spot now. There is no charge for the ticket, but we ask that you come prepared for a pay-what-you-feel-is-right donation, as this is how we will be paying our artists. 100% of the proceeds go to JR and Drew - thank you for your support of indie artists! Doors are at 6pm and show starts at 7pm. Come early for food, drink, and hanging out before the concert. You are welcome to BYO your favorite snack or beverage (if desired/never required). Love and hugs,SugarBomb Meet the Artists Before falling in love in the mountains of Northern California, JennyRebecca and Andrew were already prolific musicians, both rooted in a classical music background while also releasing melodious indie pop albums. After moving to Berlin together, the city’s edge and grittiness started to interact with the warmer tones of their Americana background.Drew went deeper into composing complex, contemporary instrumental music, continuing his passion of experimenting with atonal music after earning his degree in classical composition.JR found deep felt human interactions while busking the streets of Berlin and after experiencing a devastating loss, she processed her grief through a daily songwriting diary. 1,000 songs later, she released her first album. This songwriting project not only saved her life, but became her path to healing, pushing her to explore beyond strictly classical music, to experimenting with electronic & pop music, taking her back to her roots of folk, Americana, country, and soul and inspiring her to start teaching songwriting to students all over the world. Slowly, a whole different genre started crystallizing for her, merging her opera background, pop sensibilities, and a loop machine. The result will be a highlight of Andrew and JennyRebecca’s solo projects live in concert, as well as beautiful swoon-worthy duets from the musical and romantic marriage of the two artists.
