Donate Cakes, Desserts Or Coffee For Homeless To Celebrate Their Birthday

To comply with COVID-19 safety guidelines, this meal program can only accept store brought or pre-packaged baked goods. So sorry they cannot accept home made pastries at this time. Show some kindness to homeless individuals by celebrating their birthdays. Help donate cakes and pastries for their monthly birthday dinner. You can also donate coffee ground and non-perishable creamers as well. They serve coffee to 100+ guests each week. The Breaking Bread ministry of LaSalle Church host a weekly dinner each Wednesday night to help feed individuals that are homeless in our community. On the 1st Wednesday of each month, They also throw a birthday party to make sure each person they help still knows their lives matter. Volunteers are asked to purchase cakes and other dessert pastries and drop them off before their actual community dinner. So you can drop off your donations anytime before 5:30 pm on Wednesday. You can also donate coffee ground and non-perishable creamers as well. They serve coffee to 100+ guests each week. The dinner serves about 100 guests. You do not need to donate enough for all 100 guests, as other volunteers on this Meetup post will also contribute. Donate 1 to 2 dozen servings of what you like will be very helpful. You may also purchase pastries and donate it to the celebration. Drop off time is anytime on Wednesday from 7 am to 5:30 pm. The kitchen currently has enough volunteers from their student groups to help serve dinner and does NOT need any of us to stay to help with serving dinner or dessert. We just need to drop them off. Breaking Bread ministry reaches out to hungry and homeless individuals and families in our neighborhood. Each Wednesday evening, they serve a home-cooked meal to more than 100 guests, in a restaurant style setting to treat all guest with dignity and kindness.
