Hanukkah Candle Lighting With Philly Jewish Families Of Color

Join us for a casual get together with other families of color on our area to light Hannukah candles! The goal is to create a space for Jewish kids and adults to feel seen and supported in a diverse Jewish gathering. All combos of Jewish backgrounds and interfaith families are welcome. This is a short and loosely structured event, if you'd bring some snacks to share, that would be great. We'll light the menorah, and play, and connect with other families. Who is putting this on? This is not affiliated with any organizations. Makom is generously donating the space and I am talking to JkidPhilly about some support for it, too. My name is Rachel Robbins and I'm a biracial (Black/White) Jewish mom living in South Philly and my partner is Jewish & Cuban. I have wanted to organize something for a while so let's try it out!
