Save the Date! Friday, December 27th | 1 PM Come celebrate the principles of Kwanzaa with us! The Friends of the James Brown African American Room are hosting their 8th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration! This will be a vibrant event dedicated to honoring community, culture, and the spirit of togetherness. This year, the focus is on Unity in the Community, encouraging everyone to get involved, volunteer, and become part of something meaningful. Registration is not required to atttend this event. This event is free and open to the public. Kwanzaa arts and crafts for kids and families (12pm to 1pm in Centennial Hall)Panel discussion: The Power of Community Organizations led by Dr. Anasa Ma'at (Friends of the James Brown African American Room), with Deborah Smith Gregory (Newark NAACP) and Vivian Carter (Friends of Newark Symphony Hall).
