In memory of the co-founders of CRYOUT CAVE, AJ Songwarrior + Anthony ASax, we are taking things back to THE BEGINNING! VERSES Open Mic is where it all began. Downtown Newark at Planet Wings in 2008 with GODSENT, AJ Songwarrior + ASax. It was a FREE EVENT, where we accepted donations towards the CAUSE of growing the platform bigger and better for the POETRY community. Welcome to the VERSES Open Mic event! Join us for a night of poetry, music, and spoken word at CryOut Cave. This is your chance to showcase your talent or simply sit back and enjoy the performances. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a first-timer, all are welcome to participate. So grab your friends, bring your best piece, and let your voice be heard at this open mic event.
