About Ben Cassara Ben Cassara is a Bronx-born jazz vocalist whose musical journey began in church and school choirs, growing up in a home where music was always playing. After college, he returned to Manhattan, performing in the vibrant piano bars of Greenwich Village and quickly becoming a fixture in New York’s vibrant musical scene. With a voice that blends “sensitivity and swing,” Cassara transitioned to leading a jazz trio and has worked with jazz luminaries like Roni Ben-Hur, Harry Allen, Dean Johnson and Jay Leonhart. These performances have taken Ben to iconic venues such as Jazz at the Kitano, Birdland, Bar 55 and The Metropolitan Room. Ben co-Curates the weekly Sunday Jazz Brunch at the North Square Hotel in Greenwich Village. His latest album, “What A Way To Go” on the Audiophile label has been praised for its “effortless cool and expansive swinging storytelling.” adding to a growing body of critically acclaimed work.
