S'more Time Together: A Camping-Themed Family Event At Bennett Day School

We're bringing the great outdoors inside on Saturday, December 14, and would love to have you there! Our camping-themed event, S'More Time Together, is centered around fun, family, and community! There will be a scavenger hunt, book fair, family reading "under the stars," craft-making, a photo booth, karaoke, and much more. In addition, we are thrilled to welcome the award-winning author and illustrator Dr. Jan Spivey Gilchrist to Bennett for S’more Time Together! With over 96 books to her name, including the Coretta Scott King Award-winning Nathaniel Talking, Dr. Gilchrist’s storytelling and art have inspired generations of readers. She has collaborated with iconic writers like Gwendolyn Brooks and Eloise Greenfield, bringing their words to life with her stunning illustrations. This will be a unique opportunity for students and families to engage with her creative genius and enjoy a memorable activity together.
