Letting go can be such a powerful tool in life; it gives us the chance to move on from painful or embarrassing memories and allows us to live in gratitude for life in the present. There are so many things in life we must learn to let go of! Bad habits, people who do not have our best interests in mind, ways of thinking, beliefs that are harmful, painful memories, etc. But, letting go is often something difficult, if not painful to do. A Burn After Writing Bonfire is an opportunity to write down on a piece of paper the things you are ready to let go of and to visually watch it burn away in the fire, which can often be a powerful and emotional experience. Anyone will be welcome to share some or all of their "burns", or choose to share none at all. We will discuss why we let go, and the power that we take back from all of these things as we choose to let the burn away. After the "letting go" portion of the evening is done, a much lighter portion of the evening will commence where we will have marshmallows, non-alcoholic drinks, and a potluck-style food table available. Please bring along some sort of food/drink item if you are able, but if you are unable it does not prevent anyone from being welcome! PLEASE LABEL ANY FOOD BROUGHT THAT CONTAINS TREE NUTS AS THIS IS A COMMON ALLERGY This event is free, and pens and burn paper will be available for anyone who wishes to partake. Given that this can often be an emotional experience, all attendees will be expected to remain respectful and civil. Anyone showing misconduct will be asked to leave immediately. More Info below.
