Classical Open Mic is now every Tuesday at The Wine Therapist in Lakewood. Classical Open Mic is a free and open weekly event, where professional and amateur classical musicians can play anything they desire related to classical music. From violin solos to opera arias to string quartets and horn concertos, musicians of all levels are welcomed to share their talents with the friendly and appreciative cafe audience. I don’t perform. Can I just listen? Yes! many people come to listen and connect with the great group of arts lovers in attendance. I want to perform! Can someone play the accompaniment part? YES! A professional pianist is available to accompany you for free on opera arias, flute sonatas, cello concertos, you name it! They will sightread your piece, which means there are likely to be some mistakes, but it’s part of the fun of making music on the spot. Do they serve food? The Wine Therapist has wonderful high quality wine and beer selections. They don’t serve food, but you can order food to be delivered from any of the nearby restaurants or carry in. How can I play?
