Opening Reception Of "Parallel Worlds"

"Parallel Worlds" by Jackson Kloog is FOUND:RE Contemporary's newest pool-side studio exhibition. Parallel Worlds, also known as parallel universe, alternate reality, or multiverse, are a hypothetical collection of undetectable universes that are like our known universe, but have branched off from our universe due to a quantum-level event.  It is also a realm of existence and experience that is fundamentally different from the one that most humans share; a separate reality. In this body of work, Kloog combined their love for science fiction and surrealism with their own unique sense of existence.  Science fiction stories can be fun and entertaining on the surface, but they typically have a much deeper meaning.  Whether there are robots or aliens involved, the stories really tell us more about human nature.  Our greed and need for power, our search for meaning, and our fight for what is right.  Sometimes, Kloog's own reality can seem so distant from those around them.  "Like I’m on my own planet.  An alien in disguise," says Kloog. Jackson Kloog was born and raised in Arizona as the youngest of 5 children.  In 2016, they graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Illustration with a minor in Printmaking and Book Arts, then moved back home to Arizona.   Our experience as humans is constantly evolving.  Jackson’s work involves a lot of imagery that they are surrounded with daily, and they relate that imagery to their unique experience as a human.  That includes their love for science fiction, along with psychedelic themes, the dark yet colorful, portraiture, and the beautiful Arizona desert.  As a transgender, pansexual person, their LGBTQ identity also influences their artwork as they see the world differently, and the world sees them differently. Kloog's solo exhibition, "Parallel Worlds" will be on display from Friday, October 18th to Sunday, January 12th. Join us on Friday, October 18th from 6-9pm to meet the artist and be among the first to see this exciting new exhibition! More Info below.
