Sustainable Stewardship: Invasive Plants & Food Security Workshop (for 2nd-6th graders) 🥕🌱 WHEN: Sunday, September 15th, 2-4pm WHERE: City Heights/Weingart Branch Library — 3795 Fairmount Ave, San Diego, CA 92105 Have you ever wondered why some plants are invasive, or what a food desert is? Not desserts like brownies, but deserts like the Sahara! Want to learn more about invasive plants and food justice? Our workshop will be an introduction to why invasive species are harmful and an opportunity for young aspiring environmental activists to understand the food justice movement, native species protection, and how young people can help solve these problems.
