The Underground Writers Society Ft. Indivisible Chicago Alliance

Whether you're trying to start a new writing practice, or just need to finish up the last chapter of your novel ( or anything in between ) , come do it with us at Dorothy at The Underground Writing Society ! All night we'll be hosting writers like we do readers at our monthly Silent Book Club . We'll play instrumental music all night to channel the brainwaves, leave the lights on a little higher than usual and overall gather in writing comraiderie. Laptops are welcome , but old fashioned writing by hand is encouraged . If you bring your laptop, no charging is available and we ask you keep your screens dim and sounds muted! Space is limited, early arrivals are encouraged! Typewriters, while beautiful, should be left at home . In addition to writing together, we're welcoming in Indivisible Chicago Alliance who will be hosting a postcard writing station for swing state voters in the upcoming Presidential election from 6-8pm . You can RSVP for postcard writing HERE or just come through! Stay for our late night happy hour from 10-11pm . Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Avenue.
