Join us for the screening of A Bigger Table: 50 Years of the Chicago Poetry Center , a short documentary that follows CPC from its roots as a platform for censored writers to its present-day mission of continuing to build a bigger table for poets in Chicago and beyond. The documentary accompanies our current exhibition celebrating CPC’s legacy and lineage. The film will be captioned. Following the screening, filmmaker Moyo Abiona will be joined in conversation by CPC director of programs Helene Achanzar, and CPC poet-in-residence Joy Young. Stick around afterwards for the first event of our Fall season: Open Door/Front Porch featuring Keli Stewart, George Bailey, Ciara Miller, Kira Tucker, and Scheherazade Tillet! More Info below.
