Mark your calendar for SapphiQ's annual Oak Lawn Pride Celebration & Resource Fair at Sue Ellen's on Wednesday, September 11 at 7 PM! Queer people have always been othered or viewed as “freaks”. Not to mention, most pride events usually center cis gay men. The circus was a way for people at the margins to create their own sense of community. SapphiQ Circus is an ode to that sense of community, to taking up the space you deserve, and expressing yourself freely.
