Fancy a dip in one of the Shawangunks’ glacial “sky lakes” over the holiday weekend? Come with us! We’ll spend the day on carriage roads of the beautiful Minnewaska State Park. We’ll stop to take a dip in Lake Awosting (there are changing rooms right by the lake!), then continue to hike around the entire lake, taking in all its natural beauty. We’ll even take a little detour to check out the park’s beautiful Rainbow Falls! Even though this trip has longer mileage, the carriage roads are gentler than traditional hiking trails. This is a perfect day for an intermediate-level hiker or advanced hikers looking for a relaxing day out!
