Free Admission Friday from 12am to 5pm at Project Row Houses - see INFO below. We wholeheartedly acknowledge and recognize all that has been achieved since the inception of PRH. This Round is a Salute to the founders who, during those early days, dedicated themselves to ensuring that Black artists and this community would fully realize their potential for social impact. We honor James Bettison, Bert Long Jr., and dearest Brother Jesse Lott, who are together again with each other, and creating a new history with the ancestors.We honor Rick Lowe, Floyd Newsum, Bert Samples, and George Smith, whose journeys and artistic endeavors continue as their lives and practices grow beyond this space, sometimes in close orbit and sometimes on distant and exciting horizons.Through PRH, the vision, mission, and work ethic of Rick Lowe have left an indelible mark on Third Ward, Black artists in Houston, and the wider arts community. The contributions of both him and his partners are immeasurable, and this celebration serves as an infinite expression of gratitude.PRH forges ahead, firmly grounded on their enduring legacy.
