Equally noteworthy, and as valuable as their programs and installations, were the ongoing domino games that fostered connections between artists and their neighbors, forming bonds that would weave into a continuously expanding and evolving web of connection and creativity. To grasp the essence of PRH, one must delve into the history of shotgun houses and appreciate the significance of their architecture. Born of West African ingenuity, shotgun houses, with their porches designed for gathering, exemplify the cultural emphasis on family and community fellowship. These houses fostered an intimate sense of belonging focused on communal space rather than individual living. In our 30th year, we celebrate our founders with great intention and even greater joy, commemorating their invaluable contributions to the legacy of our organization.
