Free Public Tours Saturday at Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum - see INFO below. Come and explore a hidden treasure like no other in Greater Los Angeles. Located in the heart of a former Mexican rancho, the Homestead Museum's houses, cemetery, gardens, and stories will surprise you from start to finish. Aside from touring the houses, visitors can take self-guided tours of El Campo Santo, the family's private cemetery founded in the 1850s. The Walter P. Temple Memorial Mausoleum, completed circa 1921, contains many Workman and Temple family members along with Po Pico, the last governor of Mexican California and a friend of the Workman Temple family. INFO: The museum is open for FREE public tours every Saturday. The only way to see the museum is on a guided tour. Tours sizes are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are needed unless there are 10 or more members of your group. Tours of the Workman House are offered at 12 & 2 p.m. Tours of La Casa Nueva are offered at 1 & 3 p.m. You can visit the family cemetery El Campo Santo, seven days a week from 9-5 p.m. Phone: 626-968-8492 | Email: [email protected] | Website
