Following Taco Bell’s historic fight to liberate the “Taco Tuesday” trademark across the United States, Telegraph Hill Kitchen & Bar is taking full advantage of shelling out tacos on Tuesdays without being slapped with a cease-and-desist. Priced at $3 per taco, the Taco Tuesday newcomers at the popular Southie hangout are packed neatly in their corn tortillas with proteins, sauces and more: Chipotle Lime Chicken with pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce and sour cream; Seasoned Steak with onion, cilantro, salsa verde and cheese; Al Pastor, braised pork, pickled red cabbage, pineapple salsa and sour cream; and, Cajun Shrimp with lettuce, pickled onions and chipotle mayo. “Taco Tuesday” will proudly join its sister “BYOF Monday” budget-friendly deal where you become the architect of your pizza dreams every Monday. “Build Your Own Flatbread” gives pizza-faithfuls a menu card filled with toppings and then the checkmark process begins. Start with a plain cheese canvas ($4) and then bring the pizzazz to the ‘za. “It’s All About the Base, ‘Bout the Base” gives four ways to get saucy while “We Ain’t Arby’s, But We Got the Meats” brings carnivores seven meat toppings ($1 each) and “Mama Always Said Eat Your Vegetables” presents six veggie options ($0.50 each).
