Alumni from 1942 through 2022 will be exhibiting artwork in the High School of Art and Design’s Kenny Gallery. The exhibition begins WEDNESDAY, December 21, 2022, with a welcoming reception on Friday, January 6, 2023. The exhibition ends Monday, January 9, 2023. On display are fine art paintings, portraiture, photography, comic book illustrations, line art illustrations, mixed media, graffiti art, pop art, photo-graphs of steel sculptures and ceramic murals, graphic and typographic designs. Among the notable alumni participating in this exhibit are: • Graffiti artist and muralist, Lady Pink (Class of 1982) • 3D Graffiti artist, Ernie New-wave Vales ( Class of 1983) • Representational Artist , Ricky Mujica ( Class of 1979 ) • Photojournalist Kwame Brath-Waite (Class of 1955), known for popularizing the phrase "Black is Beautiful." • Late comic book artist and editor, Dick Giordano (Class of 1950) More Info below.
