At sunset, gather around the hill for Urban Shaman Mama Donna Henes annual waterfront Solstice ritual uniting all in reverence and positive energy. Food available from forward ROOTS and Believe Me I Can Cook (Puerto RicanThai fusion). ABOUT THE EVENT On Thursday, September 27, 2018 Socrates Sculpture Park will honor the artist Ursula von Rydingsvard alongside philanthropists Jayne and Leonard Abess as part of the Parks 2018 Annual Benefit Gala. We will come together to celebrate three individuals who reflect the Parks mission to support artists and their creative endeavors, to cultivate a sustainable environment on our urban waterfront, and to provide accessible and impactful programming for our Queens community. LIMITED BENEFIT EDITION A special limited edition by Meg Webster, created exclusively for this event, will also be available, with proceeds directed toward improvements to the Parks landscape.
