Socrates first ever Queens Green Day is a celebration of all things green local ecological initiatives, food justice, gardening, urban farming, and healthy living, including bike safety and advocacy. Join us from 12-4pm for demos and activities with partners like Queens Action Council (QuAC), Hellgate Farm, The Climate Museum, and The Connected Chef; food from Forward Roots and Jhal; adult bike repairs by Mechanical Gardens; and a natural-dye textile workshop with 2018 Emerging Artist Fellows. Cultural performances start at 2pm with an Eastern woodlands Indigenous presentation, and 2 NY premieres: Lauren Hale Biniaris Hungry and Coopdanzas Quetzalcoatl VS The Black Snake.
