Free Admission Wednesday at Snug Harbor Cultural Center Botanical Garden - see INFO below. As an additional experience on October 13, Rosario will instruct a free hour-long dance class beginning at 5:00 PM in Snug Harbors Building G, Studio G201. Rosarios contemporary dance class is an inclusive laboratory that re-purposes classical technique towards developing ones intuitive response to movement. Her warm-up draws on ballet floor barre to elongate deeper muscles, Pilates to strengthen the pelvic connection, and Yoga based stretches to release tension, while testing ones balance. Dancers should have at least 3 years of ballet or modern dance experience. Attendees are strongly encouraged to register in advance at [hidden], as space is limited. Janice Rosario is an up and coming choreographer whose work is highly virtuosic and emotive, said Melissa West, Snug Harbors Vice President of Curation. For her PASS residency at Snug Harbor, she is building her first site-specific piece. It will activate outdoor spaces in a way that is fresh and exciting. With the changes brings Snug Harbors campus to life. More Info below.
