Queens Botanical Garden Free Admission Fridays (Winter Hours)

Free Admission Friday at Queens Botanical Garden - see INFO below. Harvest Fest is QBGs largest festival of the year! Well have live music, old-fashioned games, nature and garden walks, garden demonstrations, craft and food vendors, beer tent, and the ever-popular Pumpkin Patch! We need volunteers help with crowd control, assisting vendor and craft tables, welcoming, directing, and surveying guests, and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided! Harvest Clean-Up Monday, October 15, 9am to 12pm Harvest Fest is our largest festival with lots of fun events for the whole family. Afterwards, on Monday, October 15, from 9am to 12pm, we need volunteers to help clean up our beautiful oasis. CLICK HERE to sign up! Urban Advantage Family Science Day Sunday, October 21, 10am to 3pm Urban Advantage Family Science Day will be a fun-filled day for families. We will be hosting a wide variety of activities for families with elementary and middle school students as they explore our 39 acres. Participants engage in fun science activities, including creating a pizza garden, gardening with herbs and spices, making herbal scents to take home, exploring compost critters, and much more. We need volunteers from 10am to 3pm to assist in leading the activities, ushering, and providing directions to guests of the event. Lunch will be provided! CLICK HERE to sign up! Halloween at the Garden Prep Saturday, October 27, 1 to 5pm On Saturday, October 27, from 1 to 5pm, we need volunteers help set up the day before Halloween at the Garden, a fun-filled day for the whole family. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up tables, chairs, cordoning off and staging activity areas, and putting up signs. Help make Halloween at the Garden a memorable occasion!
